MONROE, Wash. - Snohomish County Sheriff's deputies are seeking information from the public about graffiti found spray painted on a mosque on Old Owen Rd in Monroe.  The incident is believed to have occurred between 4 p.m.  last Sunday (September 10) and 10 a.m. today (September 15).  The graffiti was discovered and reported today. Deputies found unintelligible words spray painted on the building in yellow paint that appears to have then be painted over in black spray paint, followed by a vulgar phrase written in black spray paint.

"We will not tolerate any crimes motivated by prejudice in Snohomish County," said Sheriff Ty Trenary. "We are asking for the public's help to find who committed this hateful act and so we can bring them to justice."

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Sheriff's Office Anonymous Tipline at 425-388-3845.
