Everett, Wash. – Detectives with the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office Collision Investigation Unit have determined that excessive speed and drug usage were the two main contributing factors leading to a collision that killed the driver of the motorcycle last June. No other drivers or vehicles were involved in the collision, which detectives believe was the result of the driver losing control of his motorcycle while attempting to negotiate a slight curve on a downhill grade near the 12000 block of Admiralty Way. The collision was reported just after 3 p.m. on June 19 and the motorcycle rider, 25 year-old Abraham Perry from Mukilteo, died at the scene.
