Sheriff’s Office South units responded to an assault priority. Upon arrival, they found that an adult male had been stabbed.
At approx 1734 hours Sheriff’s Office South units were dispatched to 164th St SW and 6th Ave W on a priority assault. Dispatch advised several people were fighting at that location.
Upon arrival they located an adult male that had been stabbed in the abdominal area. The male (unknown exact age) was transported to Harborview Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The initial investigation revealed that some family members met up with other family members to discuss on-going family issues. At some point an argument ensued and escalated into a physical confrontation. One family member pulled a knife and stabbed another family member. The argument appears to be over a family member bailing other family members out of a detention facility.
The family speaks very little English, so exact information is slow to be obtained.
Patrol is processing the crime scene, and the Major Crime Unit is sending Detectives to assist with interviews. No one is currently in custody, but we have 5 people detained for questioning.
No more information is available at this time.
