Lynnwood, WA - The body of an adult male was found inside a burning home at the 14500 block of Madison Way this morning.  South Snohomish County Fire & Rescue responded to a 911 call of a house on fire around 7:30 a.m. today. Bystanders reported hearing sounds of “fireworks” or “explosions” and the lone male resident of the house texted a neighbor that he was inside a vehicle in the garage and had a gun.  The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office secured the scene and fire personnel moved away from the home for safety.  When it was determined there was no longer a threat to the safety of first responders and the fire was knocked down, fire personnel entered the garage of the home.  They found a deceased male in a vehicle parked in the garage around 8:30 a.m.

The Snohomish County Fire Marshal will conduct a fire and death investigation.  Identification of the deceased will be determined by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner, as well as cause and manner of death.
