After extensive search of the Stillaguamish River with Hovercraft, Dive personnel, and SNOHAWK 10, no ground or air units were able to locate victim or confirm whether or not alleged victim was ever in the water. Given the totality of the circumstances, search is being suspended and units are clearing the scene. No further information.
Arlington, WA: Helicopter Rescue Team and Dive Units respond to possible jumper from the Centennial Trail Bridge over the Stillaguamish River north of Arlington.
On March 31, 2018, at about 6:23 PM, Arlington Police received a report of a female standing near the center of the Centennial Trail Bridge over the Stillaguamish River. Witnesses reported that the female climbed over the safety fencing and was last observed standing mid span. When the witnesses looked back to check on the female, they did not see her and immediately called 911. The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Dive and Helicopter Rescue Teams are responding to the incident.
