Backyard Party Driver Injures One and Crashes Car into Garage FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: July 31, 2022

Everett, Wash. – What started as a little summer fun in the backyard in the 9700 block of 27th Ave SE Everett, WA turned in to a chaotic scene as a party goer began to drive his car at other members of the party and run over backyard furnishings.
Snohomish County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene on July 31st at approximately 9:00 PM on the report of a hit and run vehicle accident. Arriving deputies were told one of the party goers began to race his car around the large backyard at the property. At first it was considered all in good fun. However, the situation turned when the driver appeared to be driving in the direction of members of the party and began driving over backyard furnishings. The erratic driving continued until the diver of the SUV smashed his car into the garage on the property, simultaneously pinning a resident of the property between the car and the garage, injuring him.
Aid units were called to the scene, but the 57-year-old male victim refused transport to hospital. The 59-year-old male suspect, who is known to the victim, fled the scene and is being sought by Sheriff’s Deputies.
