MCU Detectives Investigate Suspicious Death in Gold Bar

GOLD BAR, Wash. - Around 10:20 a.m. Thursday, deputies responded to reports of a suspicious death in the 47900 block of Hwy 2. Upon arrival, deputies located the victim, a 23-year-old man, deceased at the scene. The nature of the incident appeared suspicious, and deputies requested detectives respond to assist. Major Crimes Unit (MCU) detectives responded to the scene and are continuing to investigate. 


Detectives are actively working to determine what occurred. Anyone with information related to this case is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 425-388-3845; anyone with urgent information is asked to call 911. 


Positive identification of the decedent, as well as cause and manner of death, will be determined by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner. 


This remains an active investigation.
