Monroe Man Arrested for First-Degree Assault

MONROE, Wash. - Around 11:30 a.m., deputies responded to an assault with weapon in the 14000 block of Ingraham Road. The suspect, a 36-year-old man, followed his neighbor and fired several rounds at him. The victim was not injured. As deputies were containing the area, the suspect fired multiple rounds in their direction. Deputies continued to negotiate with the suspect via phone and he eventually surrendered. 


The 36-year-old Monroe man was taken into custody and transported to the Snohomish County Jail. He is expected to be booked for first-degree assault.


No deputies were injured. This remains an active investigation.
