Major Crimes Unit Investigating Homicide in Arlington

ARLINGTON, Wash. – On Saturday, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies responded to the 17900 block of 121st St NE around 10:30 p.m. for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies located the victim, a 48-year-old man, deceased with a single gunshot wound.

 

During the investigation, Major Crimes Unit (MCU) detectives learned the suspect, a 32-year-old man, drove to the home and confronted residents. A verbal altercation occurred outside the residence between the 32-year-old suspect and the 48-year-old victim before the suspect fired one round, striking the victim. 

 

The 32-year-old Arlington man was arrested and booked into the Snohomish County Jail for second-degree murder.  

 

This is an active investigation. Positive identification of the decedent, as well as cause and manner, will come from the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.
