Snohomish County Seeks Volunteers to Serve on Performance Audit Committee

Everett, Snohomish County—Snohomish County today announced that volunteers are being sought for the Performance Audit Committee. The Performance Audit Committee meets between two and five times per year, usually beginning mid to late afternoon on a Monday.  The committee has eight members: one is a County Councilmember, two are appointed by the County Executive, and the County Council appoints five.  Each Councilmember nominates an appointee from his or her council district in order to have one committee member represents each of the five county council districts.  Terms are three years in length and are limited to two consecutive three-year terms (for a total of six years).

The performance audit committee:  advises the performance auditor on the development of the annual audit plan; reviews the audit process to provide input to the performance auditor; and reviews final audit reports to provide input on whether procedures for issuing performance audits have been followed.

To apply, please complete the online application form.  Applications will be accepted until all vacancies have been filled. For more information, contact Lacey Harper at 425.388.3699 or Lacey.Harper@snoco.org
