Snohomish County Tomorrow’s Next Program on Congestion Management

Year-long series looks at ways to effectively address traffic congestion

EVERETT, Wash., October 21, 2016 –You are encouraged to mark your calendar for Wednesday, October 26th and attend a presentation describing Snohomish County’s road concurrency system and the policies and laws that Snohomish County uses to ensure that needed transportation improvements occur along with development.  The presentation, sponsored by Snohomish County Tomorrow (SCT), will be given by Douglas McCormick, Interim Division Manager for Snohomish County Public Works.  It will begin at 6:15 p.m. in Public Meeting Room #1 on the first floor of the Snohomish County Administration Building (3000 Rockefeller Avenue, Everett).

SCT is hosting a year of educational programs that will examine the factors contributing to traffic congestion and the measures that cities, the county, the region, and the State are currently taking to address it. The focus will be on innovative, effective ways to ease congestion, as well as what other agencies, businesses, and community members can do to help address congestion.
