Applicants Sought for Housing and Community Development Projects

Applications for an estimated $1.8 million in federal funds for affordable housing, public facilities, and infrastructure improvements will be accepted until December 12

EVERETT, Wash., October 27, 2016—Snohomish County is encouraging nonprofit organizations and government agencies to review Notices of Fund Availability (NOFAs) and submit applications for housing, public facility, and infrastructure improvement projects.

An estimated $1.8 million in federal funds is anticipated to be available for the 2017 program year, which begins July 1, 2017. Projects must benefit low- and moderate-income persons or neighborhoods in Snohomish County.

Interested applicants can attend workshops in early November in the Snohomish County Robert J. Drewel Building (Administration Building East) on the county campus at 3000 Rockefeller Ave., Everett.

·         Public Facility & Infrastructure Application Workshop - Tuesday, November 8, Room 6A02, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

·         Housing Application Workshop - Wednesday, November 9, Room 6A02, 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Details of eligibility and other program requirements are available in the NOFAs, which can be found online starting on November 1, 2016 at: http://snohomishcountywa.gov/ApplicationsforAvailableFunds. Applications must be completed and returned to the Snohomish County Human Services Department by 4:00 p.m., Monday, Dec. 12, 2016.
