Applicants Sought for Housing and Community Development Projects
Applications for an estimated $1.9 million in federal funds for affordable housing, public facilities, infrastructure, and first-time homebuyer purchase assistance
EVERETT, Wash., September 24, 2018 - Snohomish County is encouraging nonprofit organizations and government agencies to review the Notice of Fund Availability (NOFA) and submit applications for housing, public facility, infrastructure, and first-time homebuyer purchase assistance.
An estimated $1.9 million in federal funds is anticipated to be available for the 2019 program year, which begins July 1, 2019. Projects must benefit low- and moderate-income persons or neighborhoods in Snohomish County.
Interested applicants can attend workshops in early October in the Snohomish County Robert J. Drewel Building (Administration Building East) on the county campus at 3000 Rockefeller Ave., Everett.
Housing Application Workshop– Friday, October 5, 2018 in Conference Room 6A02, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Public Facility & Infrastructure Application Workshop – Friday, October 5, 2018 in Conference Room 6A02, 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Details of eligibility and other program requirements are available in the NOFA, which can be found online starting on September 25, 2018 at: https://snohomishcountywa.gov/ApplicationsforAvailableFunds. Applications must be completed and returned to the Snohomish County Human Services Department by 4 p.m., on Tuesday, October 30, 2018.
