You aren’t alone in growing weary of this weather AND all the requests that you stay home and off the roads.
You aren’t alone in growing weary of this weather AND all the requests that you stay home and off the roads. But law enforcement reports an uptick in crashes today, and that is before the next round of snow expected this afternoon. Take if from WSP Trooper Heather Axtman, who is now using this hashtag: #stayhomeandbuildasnowman
Here’s what we’re preparing for today:
- More heavy snowfall starting about 1 pm, adding 4-8 inches.
- Winds building. Possible drifting snow.
- Rain/snow mix at times, particularly in the county’s south end.
- Snow likely through the night in some locations, particularly north of Everett.
Travel around here will be tough.
If snowy, icy conditions have delayed regular garbage pick-up in your neighborhood, your trash may be looking a little scary. Until your provider is able to pick up the garbage, be sure to keep excess trash secured in garbage bags and cans with lids, and out of the reach of animals. Compact trash as much as possible so it fits in the garbage cans. Do not burn garbage All Snohomish County Solid Waste facilities are open normal business hour for service. Sites are clear of snow in preparation for the waste that will come once collection companies resume. Residential garbage collection contacts:
