In preparation, Snohomish County Public Works is seeking early input on two construction proposals at an open house event planned for October 9, 2019.
Richardson Creek Bridge Replacement Open House
- When: Wednesday, October 9, 2019 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
- Where: Salem Woods Elementary – 12802 Wagner Rd, Monroe, WA 98272
- What: An open house reception to gather community input on the future replacement of Richardson Creek Bridge. County officials will share information about bridge improvements, and welcome feedback on two construction proposals.
Richardson Creek Bridge (also known as Bridge #300) on Woods Creek Road is scheduled for replacement in 2021. The proposed replacement bridge will improve mobility for vehicle traffic and other active users. In addition, the longer bridge span will better accommodate flood waters and improve fish passage.
Snohomish County has secured funding for the project, which includes 85% federal funding from the Surface Transportation Program (STP) and 15% from the Snohomish County Roads Fund. The total project cost is estimated at approximately $2.1 million.
More information about the project, including open house details can be found on the Richardson Creek Bridge webpage at https://www.snohomishcountywa.gov/4102.
