23rd Annual Snohomish County Transition Resource Fair

4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. 

 

EVERETT, Wash., March 24th, 2020 – Young people who experience disabilities can learn more about options for landing jobs, connecting with their communities at a March 24, 2020 event in Everett.


Now in its 23rd year, the Snohomish County Transition Resource Fair is an opportunity for self-advocates and their families to access the people and tools available to help each individual pursue their employment and career goals. The free event welcomes people with disabilities (ages 12 and older), their families, caregivers, teachers, and other interested community members.


Over 50 agencies will provide information on employment, advocacy, assistive technology, transportation, guardianship, Social Security, leadership opportunities, trusts, and more. The resource tables will be available from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Free workshops will run from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. You do not need to preregister.


Workshop opportunities include, but are not limited to:

  • Future Planning Options
  • School to Work
  • Preparing for Transition
  • Employment Support
  • Where do you want to go? Finding a Ride in Snohomish County
  • Developmental Disability Administration Services
  • Guardianship and Alternatives
  • Overview of Social Security
