April 27, 2020 - In accordance the Stay Home, Stay Healthy proclamation, Solid Waste Division announces the following actions to protect the community and County staff:
1) Starting Saturday, May 2, 2020, Solid Waste Division will remove transfer station load size restrictions and allow hand unloading vehicles to access the site during operational hours.Transfer stations will continue to operate with the following changes:
- Operation hours: 7:00 am - 4:30 pm, 7 days a week.
- No recycle or hazardous waste collection.
- Credit/debit or account customers only. No cash or checks.
- Yard debris will be charged at garbage rate.
- No restrictions on self-haul or mechanical unload customers.
- Material placed in bags/cans is preferred for quicker unloading.
2) Starting Saturday, May 2, 2020, Sultan Drop Box facility will resume operation with the following conditions:
- Operation hours: 7:00 am - 4:30 pm, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
- Hand unload only (no mechanical unloading).
- Credit/debit only. No cash or checks.
- Material placed in bags/cans is preferred for quicker unloading.
- 5 Cubic Yards maximum per trip.
- No recycle or hazardous waste collection.
- Customers must enter via Sultan Basin Road, turn left onto Cascade View Drive and then turn right into the facility.
