Public input Sought on Proposed Use of Supplemental Community Development Block Grant Funds

Snohomish County announces a virtual public hearing 

 

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash., April 29, 2021 - Snohomish County is the lead agency of the Snohomish County Urban County Consortium (Consortium) for receipt of CDBG, HOME, and ESG entitlement grant funds.  The Consortium encourages all interested persons, public agencies, organizations, local governments to review the proposed use of supplemental Community Development Block Grant - Coronavirus (CDBG-CV2) funds and to attend a public hearing.       

 

The federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act and the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development awarded $38M in CDBG-CV2 funds to the state CDBG program at Commerce. 

 

Ten million of the CDBG-CV2 funds are available to urban county CDBG entitlements. Snohomish County Human Services is preparing an application (Proposal) for submission to Commerce for $956,671 in CDBG-CV2 funds.
