Drainage Manual Changes

All five volumes are being updated and the county is currently taking comment

EVERETT, Wash., June 8, 2021 –  The Snohomish County Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) is currently taking written comments on proposed changes to the Snohomish County Drainage Manual, due by 5 p.m., June 18, 2021.

The Drainage Manual is being revised to meet requirements of the county’s National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) municipal stormwater permit. The Drainage Manual is one of three main elements that make up the county’s stormwater regulations, along with relevant chapters of Snohomish County code (primarily Chapters 30.63A and 30.63B SCC) and the Snohomish County Engineering Design and Development Standards (EDDS).  The Drainage Manual is adopted as a departmental rule by the DCNR Director. Revisions to the Drainage Manual must be adopted and effective by July 1.

Join the Snohomish County Executive’s Office and DCNR staff at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 14 for a Virtual Public Briefing to learn about the proposed 2021 updates to the Snohomish County Drainage Manual.
