The equestrian parking lot at the Centennial North Trailhead (Nakashima Barn) is closed to the public while it is being used as a staging area for a WSDOT project. The project is the installation of a fish passage culvert, across Highway 9, which is expected to be completed by the end of September. The equestrian lot may open sooner should an alternate staging area be established. We are working to accommodate trailers in the adjacent lot open during construction. Park access from the North to the site is open.
The best road closure information can be found on the WSDOT website. “Crews will fully close SR 9 between Skagit and Snohomish counties on Monday, Sept. 13 at 6 a.m. through Saturday, Sept. 18 at 6 a.m.”
