[ARCHIVED] Centennial Trail Mowing and Closures through 11/30/21

It's that time of year again as our crews mow the entire Centennial Trail! We will post an updated schedule at the start of each week on the website and social media (@snocoparks). These schedules are subject to change. Trail sections are closed to all forms of traffic during mowing for safety and no detours are provided.


Centennial Trail Mowing Update 10/27: The trail has been completely mowed from Snohomish to the 16th St crossing in Lake Stevens. The mower is in need of a few repairs and is in the shop and mowing has paused. We will post an updated schedule once the mower is fixed.


Estimated mowing schedule (subject to change):

WEEK 1

✔️ Monday 10/18: No mowing (trail open)
🚫Tuesday 10/19: Snohomish to Ritchie Rd (trail section closed and Pilchuck TH closed)
🚫 Wednesday 10/20: Ritchie Rd to 28th St (trail section closed and Pilchuck TH closed )
🚫 Thursday 10/21: 28th St to Machias Trailhead (trail section closed)
✔️ Fri-Sun 10/22-24: No mowing (trail open)


WEEK 2

🚫 Monday 10/25: Machias to first driveway north of Machias Trailhead (trail section closed)

🚫 Tuesday 10/26: First driveway north of Machias Trailhead to 20th St (trail section closed) 

🚫 Wednesday 10/27: 20th St to SR 92 (trail section closed) 

🚫 Thursday 10/28: SR 92 to Rhododendron TH (trail section closed) 

✔️ Fri-Sun 10/29-10/31: No mowing (trail open)


WEEK 3

🚫 Monday 11/1: Rhododendron TH  to Lake Cassidy TH (trail section closed) 

🚫 Tuesday 11/2: Lake Cassidy TH to Getchell TH (trail section closed) 

🚫 Wednesday 11/3: Getchell TH to 87th St (trail section closed) 

🚫 Thursday 11/4: 87th St to 87th St and Hilltop (trail section closed) 

✔️ Fri-Sun 11/5-11/7: No mowing (trail open) 


WEEK 4

🚫 Monday 11/8: 87th St and Hilltop (trail section closed) 

🚫 Tuesday 11/9: 87th St and Hilltop to Hilltop Rd (trail section closed) 

🚫 Wednesday 11/10: Hilltop Rd to Wade Rd (trail section closed) 

✔️ Thursday 11/11: No mowing (trail open)

🚫 Friday 11/12: Wade Rd to Armor TH (trail section closed)

✔️ Sat-Sun 11/13-14: No mowing (trail open) 


WEEK 5

🚫 Monday 11/15: Armor TH to Armor TH and 168th St (trail section closed) 

🚫 Tuesday 11/16: Armor TH and 168th St to 168th St (trail section closed) 

🚫 Wednesday 11/17: Haller City Park to Stilly Sand and Gravel (trail section closed) 

🚫 Thursday 11/18: Stilly Sand and Gravel to Bryant TH (trail section closed)

🚫 Friday 11/19: Bryant TH and Centennial North/Nakashima Barn TH (trail section closed)

✔️ Sat-Sun 11/20-21: No mowing (trail open)


WEEK 6

🚫 Monday 11/22: Bryant TH and Centennial North/Nakashima Barn TH (trail section closed)
