[ARCHIVED] Train Track Bridge Installation at Meadowdale Beach Park

August 2022 Construction

On August 19 and August 26* the County will be installing 2 train track bridges. This work will be completed within 24 hours on each day at the park. BNSF has gone to great efforts to schedule these days for a complete shutdown of all rail traffic so we can accomplish this work. BNSF has not identified the exact time of day.

The noise should be minimal at the site as we are not driving any piles or doing any work that creates significant noise disturbances  However, there will be an increase in traffic through the area of employee vehicles.

The work during these 2 days will include:

  • Excavators will remove train tracks and earth
  • Cranes will set the bridges
  • Dump trucks will transport spoils from the train track area to a designated area on site. We plan to leave the dirt on-site during these 2 days and haul off using the approved haul route during normal hours after the work is complete.

*These dates are subject to change.
