Applicants Sought for Housing and Community Development Projects
Applications for an estimated $2 million in federal funds for affordable housing, public facilities, infrastructure, and operating and maintenance costs for emergency shelters and low-income rental units will be accepted until November 4, 2022.
SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash., September 26, 2022 - Snohomish County is encouraging nonprofit organizations and government agencies to review the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) and submit applications for affordable housing, public facilities, infrastructure, and operating and maintenance projects.
An estimated 2 million in federal funds is anticipated to be available for the 2023 program year, which begins July 1, 2023. Projects must benefit low- and moderate-income persons or neighborhoods in Snohomish County.
Interested applicants are encouraged to attend one of three virtual application workshops:
- CDBG Housing Application Workshop (all categories)

- Public Facility & Infrastructure Application Workshop
Thursday, October 6, 2022
2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- AHTF O&M - Operations and Maintenance Application Workshop

Details on eligibility, program requirements, and how to access the virtual application workshops via Zoom, are available in the NOFO starting on September 27, 2022, at: https://snohomishcountywa.gov/ApplicationsforAvailableFunds. Applications must be completed and received at the Snohomish County Human Services Department by 4:00 p.m., on Friday, November 4, 2022.
In the next few weeks, Snohomish County will be issuing a separate announcement specifically for the construction and enhancement of behavioral health and child care facilities, both of which have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
