Planning Commission briefing schedule on 2024 Comprehensive Plan Update Topics Released

Snohomish County staff will brief the Planning Commission on topics covered in the Comprehensive Plan from March to September of 2023

EVERETT, Wash., March 23, 2023 – As part of continuing work on the 2024 Comprehensive Plan Update, staff from Snohomish County will brief the Planning Commission on topics covered in the Comprehensive Plan.

The briefings are open to the public, and will provide information about possible changes to this document that guides planning in the county. The Comprehensive Plan is mandated by state law to be updated by the end of 2024.

There is an opportunity for public comment at Planning Commission meetings, however no public comment will be accepted on the briefing topics themselves in these meetings. The briefings are intended to be informational, and are taking place after several public input periods. There will also be future opportunities for public comment, and general comments or questions can always be submitted to the 2024 update team via email at 2024Update@snoco.org.

The Planning Commission is a volunteer advisory group that meets monthly, made up of members from across the county who advise on planning-related topics. You can learn more about the planning commission here.
