Spokane, WA - Snohomish County Auditor Carolyn Weikel was sworn in as president of the Washington Association of County Officials (WACO) last Thursday, October 2, at the organization’s annual conference.
An active member of WACO since 2007, Weikel’s priorities for her one-year term include maintaining focus on legislative advocacy services, improving communications with members, enhancing member training and education opportunities, and strengthening financial policies.
“There is a lot of excitement in the organization as we redefine the services to our members,” said Weikel. “I look forward to leading the organization to act on the strategic plan and work plans we have established, as well as the valuable feedback I have received from our membership.”
