Start early on your resolution by registering to vote or updating your information with Snohomish County Elections, a division of the Auditor’s Office.?Registering to vote is easy. You can register:

• online at www.vote.wa.gov;
• by mail; or
• in person at the Snohomish County Auditor’s Office.

Feb. 10 will be the first 2015 election, featuring Arlington School District’s ballot measure concerning school bus funding. If you live within the school district’s boundaries, your voter registration must be current, or postmarked, by Jan. 12 to participate. If you have never registered to vote in Washington, you can register in person at the Snohomish County Auditor’s Office through Monday, Feb. 2 and still participate in the Feb. 10 election.

Mail-in voter registration forms are available at www.vote.wa.gov, local libraries, post offices, and the Snohomish County Auditor’s Office. The Auditor’s Office is located on the first floor of the Snohomish County Administration West Building, 3000 Rockefeller Avenue, Everett, and is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

If you are already registered but have recently moved or changed your name, be sure to update your registration online, by mail, or in person. You can check your current voting status at www.vote.wa.gov.

In order to register to vote in the state of Washington, you must:
• be a United States citizen;
• have lived in Washington state for at least 30 days;
• be at least 18 years old by election day;
• not be disqualified due to a court order; and
• not be currently under Department of Corrections supervision for a felony conviction.
