Have you thought about running for office but are unsure about how to get started? Snohomish County Elections, a division of the Auditor’s Office, will host its 2015 Candidate Workshop on Tuesday, April 21 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Snohomish County Campus. The workshop will provide prospective candidates with key information about running for office, including requirements, timelines and resources.
“With 194 local government offices from 73 jurisdictions featured in this year’s elections, we are anticipating a number of new candidates. We recognize that the administrative and reporting requirements involved with running for office can be intimidating. The candidate workshop is a great opportunity for prospective candidates and campaign staff to learn about the requirements and ask questions,” said Garth Fell, Snohomish County Elections and Recording Manager.
Elections staff will discuss the processes for filing for office and submitting local voters’ pamphlet information. Representatives from the Public Disclosure Commission, local media, and public office holders will be on hand to answer questions.
