[ARCHIVED] Snohomish County Commemorates Completion of North Road Improvements with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Snohomish County Public Works and County Executive John Lovick will host a ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the completion of the North Road Improvements project. The project improves safety for pedestrians, bicyclists and motorists by widening the roadway, adding a new center turn lane, providing bike lanes along both sides of the corridor, street lighting, and new sidewalks. With Lynnwood High School located on the corridor, special attention was taken to address the improvements to pedestrian access. The completed project also improves access and traffic flow on North Road, and assists in easing traffic congestion on the 164th Street SW corridor by encouraging drivers to use arterials further south, via North Road, to Filbert Road.

Please join the county at the official reopening of this stretch of road.
