It was another successful year for the free Microchip Clinic and American Kennel Club (AKC) Canine Good Citizen Testing at the City of Everett’s Mutt Strut on Saturday, August 8! Below are the highlights:
* 83 dogs and 10 cats each received a free microchip
* 16 of the participating 32 dogs successfully earned the status of AKC Canine Good Citizen
* 12 pets were newly licensed
* Important educational materials were distributed to hundreds of pet owners
A special thank you to the dedicated veterinarians, licensed veterinarian technicians and tech students, AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluators, and many community members who volunteered their time and expertise to make the free activities possible and successful. Thank you also to the City of Everett for continuing to make these important community activities part of the Mutt Strut event.
